Take your running up a gear.
As every person is different, every race is different too. While strengthening your mind is important, your body should be prepared and enhanced too. After over 25 years of racing and training on the track, cross country and on the roads, it’s time to give back to the running community.
Athlete in Mind has numerous Run Coaching options to choose from, so you can train toward your own goals in the way that suits you…
Our 1-2-1 Run Coaching sessions are a great way of working on exactly what you would like to achieve: whether it’s to run faster, increase your mileage or to target a specific race or event. Whatever your goal, we’ll support you every step of the way.
Running with others is always fun and it feels so much easier than running alone. That’s why we operate a number of groups, so you can work alongside runners with a similar ability to you.
Beginner Sessions (0-5k)
If you’re taking your first steps and strides, then there’s no better place to start than our Beginner Sessions. We will ease you into the Athlete in Mind family and will ensure you get away from the starting blocks in the best way possible. These take place once a week and will run on an 8-week rotation.
Intermediate Group Sessions
For those of you with a 5k already under your belts, our Intermediate Groups are an opportunity to work on speed/hills/fartlek sessions as a way of enhancing your performance.
Based on your abilities and fitness levels, we will set sessions that are adapted to bring you the best possible results.
After School-Run Run
When the children have been dropped off at school, why not join us and likeminded parents on a nice, social run around the local area?
General Group Run
In our General Group Runs, we follow a set route each week. These runs are for people of every ability level – nobody gets left behind!
We are a big believer in ’Athlete Centred Coaching’, which is why we champion our personal service. Our scheduling service includes consultation to determine what your goals are: this means the schedules we write are specific to you and your goal or event.
These schedules take into account how many times a week you can train and how long you can train for. These schedules are meticulously planned, as it’s important to understand what life pressures you have to contend with, such as work, family or alternate commitments.
With weekly phone/Skype reviews and updates with your coach, plus unlimited email support included with this service, you can be sure that you have the support you need, when you need it.
Our plans are robust and flexible, designed to work for you. Goals might include chasing a PB, running a set distance without stopping or completing a full race. Our Running Schedules can also be written to support other events you compete in, such as Duathlons and Triathlons, so you can be sure you are as prepared to perform at your best, no matter the challenge.
